A practical session showcasing the benefits of bringing PASCO wireless data logging technologies into your science classroom. Experience innovative ways for students to get hands-on with otherwise traditionally demonstrated practical.

The focus will be on measuring and recording temperature, pH, velocity, pressure and CO2 as well as using wireless light gates to create meaningful data in line with UK science curriculum requirements.

This session will investigate harmonic motion of a pendulum and g by free fall using light gates as well as demonstrating experiments with momentum, collision, Newton’s second law and others with the use of various pieces of simple equipment.

We will look into current and static electricity generation with a hand-held DC generator and hand-held static generator. From basic experiments with electromagnetism and the principle of electric motors to energy transfers, energy efficiency, types of circuits and others using a comprehensive system of hand-held DC generator with a full range of accessories.

Scottish University Science School 2020

We’ll be exhibiting at the Scottish University Science School (SUSS) between the 14–17 January 2020 at the Golden Jubilee Hotel in Clydebank, Glasgow.

The SUSS is a two-day residential event which incorporates a topical and relevant keynote address, a range of practical, hands-on experiential workshop sessions, professional update sessions from a range of national bodies and opportunities for extensive professional networking.

Scottish Schools Education Research Centre Conference 2019

We’ll be exhibiting at this year’s Scottish Schools Education Research Centre (SSERC) annual conference on Friday 6th December 2019.

Our very own Tricia Cairns, Senior Territory Manager for Scotland, will be on hand to showcase a selection of our product range including Pasco Scientific, Narika and Lascells products.

The conference is being held at Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline, and will host a range of workshops which highlight safe, reliable and relevant resources for teaching and learning—as well as networking opportunities to connect with a wide range of
professionals representing STEM education in Scotland.

Heriot Watt University Annual Interdisciplinary Suppliers Fair

Our Scotland Senior Territory Manager, Tricia Cairns, will be exhibiting at Heriot Watt University Annual Interdisciplinary Suppliers Fair on the 5th December 2019.

The event is open to the whole school, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Electronics and Biology. In previous years they have had between 12-14 suppliers from across disciplines. It attracts people from across the whole school, plus the Earl Mountbatten Crush area is an open plan area on the way to offices and labs, so attracts passers-by too.
