In 2004 we implemented ISO14001:2004 on all four sites.
Reduce
We aim to reduce water, electricity and gas consumption in all sites.
Careful route planning for field staff and our own delivery drivers helps reduce fuel consumption. We purchase vehicles with the latest diesel engine to minimise consumption.
We aim to minimise customer complaints and mistakes to avoid unecessary and repeated deliveries, and our management team meet regularly to improve our performance.
We have invested heavily in paperless trading and eprocurement to reduce paper transaction costs which is now being adopted by local authorities, local and central government and multi-national companies.
Staff are encouraged to switch off lights when safe to do so, as well as computers and printers when not required.
Re-Use
We aim to re-use paper, cardboard packaging, wooden pallets etc.
Recycle
We recycle cardboard, paper, glass bottles (empty and cleaned), wood pallets and printer cartridges etc., and will aim to recyle cans, polythene packaging and plastics where possible.
